1959 3.3Kg Gibson Les Paul Special DC Cherry

Another lightweight Rock Monster for sale: an original 1959 Gibson Les Paul Special. This Cherry double cut Special is an amazing sounding and super versatile axe with great dynamics and very powerful pickups. As it weighs only 3.34Kg it is super comfortable to play for long periods of time and very easy to handle. You can rock this babe all night long!

The two original P90's (8.23kOhm in the bridge, 8.77kOhm in the neck) deliver a punchy, ballsy rock tone that seem to sustain for days and have a lot of bite and aggressive power. The neck is a nice and comfortable typical '59 handful and feels super smooth. The original POT's date to 1959 and the electronics, bumblebee capacitors, switch and wiring are original with untouched solder. It has the original Kluson strip tuners, plastics, pickguard, knobs and even the wraparound tailpiece is original!
 
The original frets have minor wear and lot's of life left in them. The Cherry finish is nice and warm and shows mild checking on the body, neck and headstock. It has no headstock break but unfortunately it has the usual heel repair which was performed very well. It is repaired with dovels, refinished and touched up with some overspray and it is perfectly stable and solid.

The guitar comes in a recent faux alligator Les Paul hardshell case.
