1959 Gibson Les Paul Special TV Yellow Limed Mahogany DC P90 junior
Here's another KILLER ROCK MONSTER for you from the "holy year"!!!
It becomes harder and harder to find original 50's Specials these days, let alone TV Yellow ones... So we are again stoked to have another very cool and original '59 Gibson Les Paul TV Special Double Cut which makes your eyes tear from joy but most importantly also is an incredible sounding guitar with great dynamics & powerful attack.
And with just 3,5Kg this guitar has a nice low weight so it's super comfortable to play for long periods of time and very easy to handle. The guitar looks amazing and shows very cool playwear and marks from 65 years of hard Rock 'n Roll.
The two original P90's deliver a super punchy, ballsy screaming rock tone that seem to sustain for days and have a lot of bite and aggressive power. Played gently though it can be as sweet as baby buttocks. The neck has a nice and comfortable '59 shape and plays smooth and easy. The pots (week 29, 1959), electronics, bumblebee capacitors, plastics, pickguard, knobs, switch, wiring etc are all original with untouched solder! Tuners are vintage correct Kluson Deluxe single lime strip replica's, studs have been replaced for vintage length 1" stainless steel studs and the tailpiece is a MojoAxe intonated light weight aluminium wraparound.
The neck and body have some cool wear, checking and discolouration from intense playing this monster but everything is an a very good and honest condition. The all original TV yellow limed mahogany finish has a beautiful almost warm see-through glow from thousands of smokey bar room gigs and about just as much dings, dongs and checking/craquelé all over the body, neck and headtock. Frets and nut were replaced. Luckily the neck and headstock have no breaks or repairs but it had a pro heel repair, reset and touchup as it separated from the body after bad shipment treatment... But all in all this is an honest, solid, über cool fire breathing yellow rocketship of an axe!!!
Comes in an original 1950's Lifton case that is just a tad bigger then the guitar (so probably not for a Les Paul model) but an amazing cool asset to this guitar nonetheless!
