1964 Gibson SG Junior stoptail P90 w/ CITES
This pretty rare stoptail version (most have the wobbly Vibrola on top) only weighs 2.9Kg and it is an absolutely stunning sounding lightweight axe.
It has a sweet beefy '64 neck with a 42.6mm nut width and some incredible tone. The original and powerfull 8.4kOhm P90 pickup screams like a barn owl, but is can also sound sweet and jazzy when caressed. The electronics are untouched and the CTS pots (date 1376421 week 21, 1964), Kluson strip tuners, compensated tailpiece, knobs, elecronics etc. are all original. Comes in a later SG case and has CITES documentation. The guitar has had a headcrack in the past but the repair is solid and professional which makes it the ultimate player guitar.
The guitar has a certain magic to it and these lightweight Juniors ring like a bell! It's light, airy, open with overtones and harmonics and when pushed it just sounds crazy. It's very hard to put down and you'll love to rock this all night long!
