SOLD! - 1964 Stoptail Gibson SG Junior Polaris White P90 w/ original case
It is hard for us to sell our beloved original 1964 small guard Gibson SG Junior in Polaris White. Not just because it looks awesome. It's hard because this could well be the best Junior we ever played... And it's a rare stoptail version, most have the wobbly Vibrola on top.
This lightweight 2.8Kg and absolutely stunning sounding axe has a sweet beefy 64 neck and some incredible tone! The original 8.06k Ohm P90 pickup screams like a hungry seagull when pushed, but sounds sweet and jazzy when caressed. Electronics have untouched solder, hardware, Kluson strip tuners, stop tailpiece, knobs, and even the beautiful black case with yellow plush lining (rare!!) are all original. Pots date week 48 of 1964. No breaks, no cracks, no repairs, no refin. Original frets are in great shape. There's a few small dings and wear all around but in general this one is pretty clean considering it obviously was played a lot.
The guitar has a certain magic to it as it truly sounds like nothing else we played before. It's light, airy, open with overtones and harmonics and when pushed it just sounds crazy. It's very very (very) hard to part with this little white Rock Monster...12995
